I have enjoyed sharing my trip to Austria, Germany and Switzerland with you. I hope
you will be encouraged to join Rick Steves for your own tour. Any questions or
comments? My e mail is email@example.com. Auf Wiedersehen
Here are Sue and Mary Beth at the airport
before we board our plane to Los Angeles.
Our last dinner together was at
a below street level "cave" like
restaurant. Everyone was
getting their last photos of
their travel friends.
I can never get enough of amusement parks
and Vienna boasts one of the oldest .
The Ferris wheel was built in 1896-7.
A" must see" for me was the Leopold
Museum. I almost never got out of there. It is
located in the Museums Quartier. This is the
view from the second floor of the museum.
The Leopold Museum was
opened in 2001 and
houses the most
of 19th and 20th Century
Subway Pavillion, Art Noveau
architecture by Otto Wagner.
Painting above is by Hans Kralik, to right by
Egon Schiele, far right by Josef Dobrowsky,
and below by Hans Schachinger.
